About the No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act, passed in 2020, protects patients from surprise medical bills and creates a federal IDR process when providers and insurers cannot agree on out-of-network reimbursement. Certified IDREs like Capitol Bridge serve as independent arbiters to make final, legally binding payment determinations.
